Day 2. God is love

This verse is very short but very big. It does not say that God is sometimes loving; it says God is love. People often picture God as angry or far away. This verse is one of the clearest places where the Bible says something different. If we want to know what God is like, love is the starting place.

What picture of God did you have when you were younger? Has it changed?

Make a small “Love is…” list with five things, like “Love is saying sorry first.”
