Read together
Read the Bible passage: Genesis 1.
Picture story: God Made Everything
The picture story is written for ages 3 to 8. Older children can enjoy it too, or read the Bible passage in their own Bible.
Talk about it
- What does it tell us about God that he made so many different things?
- What does it mean that people were made to look after the world?
Do it
Plan one way your family can care for creation this week (a clean-up, a plant, a water-saving habit).
Pray
Maker of everything, help us to notice your work and to care for it.
For the leader
Go slowly through the days of creation; let children name things they see.
You will need: Paper and crayons, a window or a garden.
