Paraphrase After Jesus went back to heaven, his friends stayed together in Jerusalem. They prayed and waited.

Paraphrase Then God sent them his Spirit, with a sound like a strong wind. They felt brave and joyful.

Paraphrase People from all over the world heard them speak, and everyone could understand in their own language.

Paraphrase Many people began to follow Jesus. They met together every day.

Paraphrase They shared meals, and they shared what they had, so no one went without.

Paraphrase If someone needed something, others sold what they could so that everyone had enough.

Paraphrase They were kind, glad and thankful. And more and more people wanted to join them.
